New Model Home Opens in McLean Community
As the builder who listens, Peachtree Residential never stops making things better, even for pets. We recently updated one of our most popular plans, the Milton, and built it as the new model home for the McLean community located on the shores of Lake Wylie in Gaston, Belmont County.
In its new configuration, guests enter the Milton from a generous front porch into the stunning two-story foyer featuring a small niche or statement wall, depending on the buyer’s preference. The stairs, which previously dominated the entryway, have been reversed. They now offer families a convenient, hidden retreat from the open family room to the upstairs bedrooms and living areas.
A favorite update is the addition of a barn door under the stairway, creating a built-in, hidden escape for four-legged friends. The special space for pets eliminates the need for not-so-stylish kennels or sometimes-smelly, fur-covered pet beds in main living areas.
The Milton’s open floorplan features a connected fireside family room, keeping room, and gourmet kitchen. A large kitchen island provides ample space for meal preparation, afternoon homework sessions, chats with guests, or dinnertime seating for family. The keeping room opens to the outside, where a patio expands the living and entertaining area to the outdoors. Tucked behind the kitchen are a laundry room and mudroom with access to the two-car garage. A tandem garage for a third car is also included.
As a four-bedroom, three-and-a-half-bath home plan with owner’s suite downstairs, the Milton is loved, particularly in the current environment, for its flexibility. A study and formal dining room on the first floor can be styled for a home office, study space or playroom. Upstairs, a bonus room plus extra unfinished storage space could be transformed into a media room, hobby room, or teen escape.
While the Milton and other home plans in McLean are perfect for families, so are the community amenities — a pool and clubhouse. Located just 30 minutes from Uptown Charlotte, the community is adjacent to the Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden and Harbortowne Marina. The area is growing, with more and more popular shops, cafes and retail moving in.
McLean is also conveniently located near Seven Oaks Preserve Trail. The trail is part of 78 acres preserved and managed by the Catawba Lands Conservancy. Popular for running, walking and cycling, the trail winds along the Lake Wylie shoreline, connecting with other trails, too. It’s part of a 1,500-mile network of greenways and trails that will eventually link 15 counties in the Charlotte metro area.
All of this, along with top public, charter and private schools, is convenient to the Charlotte Douglas International Airport, major roadways and the region’s employment centers.
The exciting new homes in McLean are priced from the $700,000s into the $900,000s. For more information, visit www.peachtreeresidential.com/communities/mclean/, or contact onsite agent Linda Marucci at 704-201-5401.
