Craftsman Trim Package Showcases Popular Style

community streetscape

At Peachtree Residential, our buyers fall in love with our Craftsman-style exteriors, where large, covered porches; gabled roofs; and distinctive, tapered square columns rule the day.

So, what happens when buyers finish their interiors? Our professional designers in the Peachtree Residential Design Center heard our homebuyers requesting Craftsman style finishes inside, too. So now, we are pleased to introduce a new Craftsman interior trim package that comes standard in many of our homes.

One example where the package is now included for all homes is Adams Vineyard. The Craftsman style’s simple, clean lines complement the tranquility of the community’s lifestyle, with its hundred-year-old oaks, gardens and vineyard in the heart of historic Norcross.

Old-fashioned front porches and timeless style set the tone for the community, and the Craftsman interior trim package brings the theme inside. The style’s trim and baseboards eschew frills for straight lines, displaying solid, quality construction with no distractions.

The package includes Shaker cabinet doors, which usher the simplicity into the kitchen. The classic cabinet style, common in homes from the Craftsman period, features a center panel surrounded by a straight-edged overlay. Craftsman construction continues through the home to the staircases. Their minimalist wood newel posts and railings work together with straight, square metal balusters to form a classic look.

The interior style answers the requirements of the Craftsman style exteriors at Adams Vineyard, where gabled roofs, deep porches and squared columns abound. For example, both the Vineyard and the Nesbitt home plans feature large front porches on the first and second levels. In each home, the first level’s square brick columns rise to the second level, where they are capped with the tapered square wood columns typically seen on Craftsman homes.

The community itself also hearkens back to an older time. Its open spaces include a muscadine vineyard, a large park, a meadow and a community garden. Walking trails, dotted with country swings, meander throughout. Residents often gather at the community fire pit and social area, or they take a short walk to the shops and restaurants of historic Norcross. Homes in Adams Vineyard are priced from the high $500,000s.

Peachtree Residential’s Craftsman interior trim design package is also available in select homes in Waterside at River Glen in Suwanee, a brand-new enclave within the existing River Glen neighborhood. The farmhouses in Waterside also feature the Craftsman style’s signature gabled roofs; large, covered porches; and distinctive square columns, so it’s only natural to bring Craftsman elements inside, too.

Of the 22 available homesites in Waterside at River Glen, 17 offer direct access to and frontage on the Chattahoochee River. All homes enjoy the swim, tennis, playground and amenities of the River Glen community. Homes are pre-selling now and priced from the $600,000s.

The Craftsman interior package is proving such a hit with Atlanta-area homeowners, Peachtree Residential has begun offering it  in select North Carolina communities, as well. These include The Summit, Fairfax, Hennigan Place and McLean.
