Craftsman Trim Package Showcases Popular Style

community streetscape

At Peachtree Residential, our buyers fall in love with our Craftsman-style exteriors, where large, covered porches; gabled roofs; and distinctive, tapered square columns rule the day.

So, what happens when buyers finish their interiors? Our professional designers in the Peachtree Residential Design Center heard our homebuyers requesting Craftsman style finishes inside, too. So now, we are pleased to introduce a new Craftsman interior trim package that comes standard in many of our homes.

Act Now to Get the Home You Want in Blackwood Knoll

blackwood knoll home exterior

Opportunities are dwindling to snag a new Mecklenburg home in Blackwood Knoll, an intimate community of just 22 homes in the desirable Huntersville area. Situated on 37 acres with 20 acres reserved for greenspace, the community has plenty of room for right-sized homesites while still leaving plenty of space to walk along tree-lined streets or to play and relax on the Great Lawn.

Several homes in Blackwood Knoll are available for presales, where you can work with our builders to tailor the floorplan and elevation that works best for you. If you’re looking to move in faster (and are hoping to make fewer decisions), we have some homes that are closer to completion, with enough time remaining to make designer selections so the home you choose will reflect your preferences. New Model Home Opens in McLean Community

Aerial view of the milton model homes den shot from second floor

As the builder who listens, Peachtree Residential never stops making things better, even for pets. We recently updated one of our most popular plans, the Milton, and built it as the new model home for the McLean community located on the shores of Lake Wylie in Gaston, Belmont County.

In its new configuration, guests enter the Milton from a generous front porch into the stunning two-story foyer featuring a small niche or statement wall, depending on the buyer’s preference. The stairs, which previously dominated the entryway, have been reversed. They now offer families a convenient, hidden retreat from the open family room to the upstairs bedrooms and living areas.

A favorite update is the addition of a barn door under the stairway, creating a built-in, hidden escape for four-legged friends. The special space for pets eliminates the need for not-so-stylish kennels or sometimes-smelly, fur-covered pet beds in main living areas. (more…)

Why Are We The Builder Who Listens?

When you choose to build your new home with Peachtree Residential, you’re choosing to build with a “Builder Who Listens” to what you have to say – your requests, your compliments and, yes, even your concerns. Especially those.

And with any home you build, no matter the builder, there will be at least a few concerns. Did you know that nearly 100 people are involved in building a new home, no matter the price range? And they, along with the tools and materials they are using, are often exposed to weather conditions while they work? Think rain, cold and, in the South, intense heat.

With so many people, all the moving parts, and the range of materials, from concrete foundation to your choice of roofing, one or two concerns are bound to pop up eventually. And when you work with the “Builder Who Listens”, those concerns are addressed quickly and efficiently. (more…)

There’s Nothing Like a Porch to Welcome You Home

St Michelle plan with large front porch

Whether you’re looking at North Carolina homes online or you’re driving up to a friend’s house, chances are the ones with front porches feel the most inviting. Perhaps that’s because a front porch is integral to the lore that surrounds old-fashioned communities and the stories our grandparents told.

More likely, it’s because they are just as popular today, even though we’re probably not using them to share a glass of lemonade with a neighbor or wave to passersby.

What do we do instead? Maybe we sit or swing like in the past. Porches also serve as a backdrop as we record memories of first days of school, Halloween costumes, and prom dates. And there is almost guaranteed to come a time when a porch will provide shelter for Amazon packages or delivery people who saved us from driving to pick up pizza in the rain.
